Previously in the past women find it difficult to pursue their academic goals, due to the stigma that was attached to women inn education. The stereotype created a lack of role model for other women to see that it is possible. Supporting women will help to improve more female role models in STEM field so that other women can also pursue their academic goals in the field

Research has shown that teams built on gender diversity are more innovative and produce better outcome. By supporting women in STEM, we not only create more opportunities for individual women but also enrich the entire STEM community with diverse perspectives and ideas.

Scholarship Eligibility
Applicants must meet up with the following criteria in order to be eligible for this scholarship program;
- Applicants must be accepted at or enrolled in a full-time degree program at a U.S or Canadian School that Mpower supports
- Applicants be an international student allowed to legally study in the U.S. or Canada, as applicable
- To study in the U.S, applicants must meet up with the following criteria;
- Have a valid visa that permits study in the US
- Must be protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
- To study in Canada, applicants must meet up with the following criteria;
- Must have a valid Canadian study permit.
